Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Patient Services Associate (PSA) II to enhance patient experience by processing arrivals and departures efficiently and obtaining necessary pre-authorizations. The role focuses on accurate data entry, HIPAA compliance, and supporting a smooth patient flow within the Magee Rehabilitation Hospital setting.

The PSA II will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and coordinate with care teams to ensure timely appointments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate courteously with patients and visitors.
• Ability to multi-task while managing a time-sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients/visitors in a professional manner, in person or by phone.
• Check in/check out and schedule appointments via EPIC.
• Obtain pre-certifications and authorizations for procedures.
• Maintain efficient flow of the practice and escalate concerns as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
