VillageMD is hiring a Patient Service Representative to act as the first contact for patients, greeting visitors and handling intake with courtesy. This role supports scheduling, billing, insurance verifications, and data entry within a fast-paced clinic environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, excellent communication skills in English, and familiarity with EHR and practice management systems. On-site work is expected with standard office hours.

Qualificações

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Excellent customer service and English communication required.
• Experience with EHR and practice management systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet visitors, patients and families professionally and direct them appropriately.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer phones promptly, take messages and route to the correct staff.
• Inform patients about delays and assist with comfort during waits.
• Record self-pay charges, collect payments and reconcile daily receipts.
• Open/close batches, reconcile collections, and prepare deposits.
• Process insurance verifications and update patient demographics and HIPAA forms.
• Schedule appointments accurately and manage waitlists.
• Place orders for diagnostic tests and ensure proper workflows.
• Coordinate with clinical staff for pre-authorizations and referrals.
• Communicate problems promptly to the Office Supervisor/Manager.
