Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years healthcare experience.
• Preferred 2 years customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Paging of Critical Time sensitive needs.
• Paging of all patient care requests.
• Coordinate transfers from referring physicians into Stormont Vail Health.
• Assign hospitalist to ER patients admitted to Stormont Vail Health as in-patient or observation.
• Register hospital discharge appointments and notify patients of their appointment by phone or mail.
• Review demographic information and enter patient information/chief concern into Nursing queue for after-hours triage requests.
• Answer incoming calls and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
• Direct calls to appropriate staff.
• Register clients for classes/events sponsored by Stormont Vail Health.
• Maintain the state-wide EMSystem with accurate bed status, diversions, and bed drills.
• Cross-train and act as back-up for registration or other administrative peers.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure quality service for clients.
• Maintain strong internal communication to enable prompt, accurate service.
• Participate in weekly huddles and use problem solving to improve processes.
