Qualifications

• Knowledge of age appropriate protocols regarding transfer and trauma calls.
• Ability to accurately document all inquiries into database for statistical purposes.

Responsibilities

• Paging of Critical Time sensitive needs and patient care requests.
• Coordinate transfers from referring physicians and enter information into Transfer Module/Sharepoint.
• Assign hospitalist to ER patients admitted as in-patient or observation.
• Schedule hospital discharge appointments and notify patients by phone or mail.
• Review demographic information and enter patient information/chief concern for after-hours triage.
• Answer incoming calls, reschedule appointments, direct calls to staff, cancel appointments as requested.
• Register clients for classes/events sponsored by Stormont Vail Health.
• Maintain EMSystem with updated bed status and diversions.
• Cross-train and backup for registration or other admin duties.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality service.
• Participate in weekly huddles and use problem solving to improve processes.
