Job summary

AltaMed in Los Angeles is hiring a Patient Services Advocate to welcome patients and ensure a warm, efficient front office experience. You will be the first friendly face, manage expectations, and help integrate patients into our patient-centered care team with clear communication and empathy.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1–2 years in customer service, and bilingual ability (English plus additional language preferred).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience required as a customer service agent, greeter, or receptionist- preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese strongly preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Services Advocate is an AltaMed ambassador by welcoming and attending to the needs of all patients and creating a positive front office patient experience by managing expectations while demonstrating compassion and respect.
• The Advocate also functions as a member of the health care team by assisting in the delivery of patient-focused care by demonstrating excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
