Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Arlington (Cooper), TX, seeks a Patient Service Specialist (PSS). This full-time role processes referrals, schedules patients, completes intake and data entry, verifies insurance, and handles authorizations and copays in a fast-paced setting.

We value organized, detail-oriented, flexible individuals who can work well with others or independently. Starting pay is $19–$25 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package based on experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates patient appointments and manages scheduling with the Center manager to minimize cancellations.
• Registers patient information and ensures forms are complete and accurate in the EMR.
• Verifies patient insurance and obtains required authorizations; explains benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Collects outstanding patient balances at each visit and scans/maintains medical documents.
• Reconciles and posts charges daily and generates reporting for clean claim processing.
• Responds to information requests from patients, other departments and physicians.
• Maintains office, orders supplies, and supports center operations as needed.

Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity.

This is an entry-level position.

Starting salary: $19 - $25 per hour based off experience

We are looking for someone that is organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to work well with others or independently. Someone who can provide outstanding customer service in a fast paced environment. We process referrals, schedule patients, complete the intake process & data entry, insurance verification, authorizations and review of benefits with patients, copay collection, arriving and scheduling patients, billing reports, closing reports and other tasks as needed.

• Coordinates patient appointments, working with Center manager to minimize cancellations and support Treatment adherence.
• Registers patient information, ensuring all forms are complete with signatures and accurate information documented in the electronic medical record.
• Verifies patient insurance, obtaining required authorizations before patient visit and explains benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies.
• Collects toward patient responsibility at each visit.
• Scan and maintain medical documents.
• Reconciles and posts charges daily and other reporting to ensure clean claim processing.
• Responds to all request for information from patients, other department and physicians.
• Maintains office, orders supplies and manages mail.
• Willingness to adjust schedule to center needs.
• Travels Attends all mandatory meetings and in-service education programs.
• Travels to non-home location center or other site for coverage when necessary.
• HS diploma or GED is required
