Job summary

Integrated Medical Professionals in Flushing, NY is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to deliver exceptional patient service by phone or in person. You will greet patients, register new patients, collect co-pays, and coordinate the intake and checkout processes to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires 1–3 years of customer service, preferably in a medical office, with knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years customer service experience required.
• Experience in a medical office; urology preferred; CPT/ ICD-10 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and greets patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.
• Registers new patients and updates demographics with detailed information.
• Collects outstanding patient balances and processes co-pays.
• Obtains referrals and authorizations when required.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates patient flow with staff.
• Protects patient confidentiality and PHI; logs off computers when away.
• Maintains front desk area and ensures supplies are stocked.
