Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Medical Center seeks a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will register patients, schedule appointments, handle referrals, collect demographics and insurance data, and provide friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma, strong communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in front desk or patient reception preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a professional, courteous manner.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals and authorizations.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance data.
• Process registrations, consents, and medical records accurately.
• Balance daily transactions and reconcile copayments.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
• Coordinate interpreter services when needed.
• Provide coverage and support for front desk staff as required.
