Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for a floating, split 20-hour position. The role starts at the front desk handling patient check-ins/checkout and coordinating with the care team in a busy outpatient PT setting.

The candidate will schedule appointments, process co-pays, and communicate with insurers. A high school diploma or GED and front desk experience are preferred, with healthcare background a plus.

• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Overview

Position:Patient Service Specialist- Float/SPLIT Position 20 Hours Floating

Location: New Ballas- Floating into St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, Warren County, St. Charles County. Illinois counties include Monroe, Madison, and St. Clair County.

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: 40 Hours- Must have flexibility between the hours of 7A-7P, Monday- Friday.

Compensation:$19/ hour- increases based on experience
