Dignity Health - Outpatient Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist/Front Desk Receptionist in Henderson, NV. The role involves welcoming patients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, handling insurance verifications, and collecting payments at the point of service.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient data, coordinating with the billing office, and supporting clinic staff to deliver a smooth, friendly patient experience.

Competenze

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification preferred.
• Healthcare, Medical, Dental office administration experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Greet patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience.
• Answer phone.
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
• Verify insurance, process referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Schedule patient appointments and check them in at arrival.
• Collect co-pays.
• Balance cash daily and deposit weekly.
• Prepare daily billing reports and coordinate with central billing office.
• Communicate and collaborate with clinic staff to ensure a seamless experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Patient Service Specialist

Front Desk Receptionist Position

Status: Monday - Thursday 8-6, Friday 8-12

Location: 1180 East Sunset Rd. # 100 Las Henderson NV 89011

Pay Range: $18.50 - $22.00 based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Some Saturdays Required)

Responsibilities

• Greets patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience
• Answers phone
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients
• Insurance verifications, referrals and pre-authorizations
• Schedules patients appointments and checks them in at arrival
• Collection of co-pays
• Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
• Patient intake and data entry to ensure proper billing
• Complete daily billing reports and work with central billing office (CBO)
• Communication and teamwork with clinic staff as well as all supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required

Preferred Experience

• Customer service experience required
• Knowledge of insurance verification preferred
• Healthcare, Medical, Dental office administration preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift
• Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including10-key) throughout a work day/shift
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
• Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs
• Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction
• Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
