Dignity Health - Outpatient Center in Henderson, NV is looking for a Patient Service Specialist/Front Desk Receptionist to greet patients and manage the front desk operations. The role includes scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, processing referrals and pre-authorizations, and handling co-pays in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service, and familiarity with medical office software.

Patient Service Specialist

Front Desk Receptionist Position

Status: Monday – Thursday 8-6, Friday 8-12

Location: 1180 East Sunset Rd. # 100 Las Henderson NV 89011

Pay Range: $18.50 - $22.00 based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Some Saturdays Required)

Responsibilities

• Greets patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience
• Answers phone
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients
• Insurance verifications, referrals and pre-authorizations
• Schedules patients appointments and checks them in at arrival
• Collection of co-pays
• Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
• Patient intake and data entry to ensure proper billing
• Complete daily billing reports and work with central billing office (CBO)
• Communication and teamwork with clinic staff as well as all supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required

Preferred Experience

• Customer service experience required
• Knowledge of insurance verification preferred
• Healthcare, Medical, Dental office administration preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift
• Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including10-key) throughout a work day/shift
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
• Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs
• Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction
• Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
