Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Center-West Florissant is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk operations and patient flow. The role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating with insurers, and handling payments and authorizations.

This full-time position runs Monday through Friday with four 8-hour days, 7 AM to 7 PM. Compensation starts at $18/hour and increases with experience, with benefits for 32+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Coordinate with insurance, translation services, market leaders, and business development.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

• Regular communication with parties such as insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Healthcare experience
