Job summary

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our outpatient physical therapy center in Bridgeton. You will handle front desk duties, greet patients, schedule appointments, and assist with insurance and payments to ensure a smooth visit experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with insurance companies, translation services, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Location: SSM Health Rehabilitation Center- Bridgeton McKelvey

Type of Employment: Full-time- Monday through Friday

Compensation: Starting at $18/hour- Increases based on experience.
