Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join a fast-paced oral surgery team. You will welcome patients, verify insurance, schedule appointments, collect payments, and maintain records to support a positive patient experience.

The role requires at least two years of customer service in a medical/dental setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience required.
• Experience in a medical or dental practice is required.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and verifications.

Responsibilities

• Confirm and update patient identification, demographic, and insurance information.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation for upcoming appointments.
• Perform check-in and check-out, including collecting information and payments.
• Obtain patient consents/authorizations and process insurance pre-authorizations and referrals.
• Answer incoming calls, document messages, and route inquiries.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
• Support front-office operations and assist with other duties.

What You’ll Do:
