Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a positive patient experience at the front desk, handling check-ins/outs, scheduling, and coordinating appointments in a fast-paced oral surgery environment.

Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or dental setting, are required. Knowledge of insurance processes and strong multitasking and communication skills are essential for success in

Responsibilities

• Verify and update patient identification, demographics, and insurance information.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation for upcoming appointments.
• Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including collecting information and payments.
• Obtain patient consents/authorizations and process insurance pre-authorizations and referrals.
• Answer incoming calls, document messages, and route inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including rescheduling as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
• Support front-office operations and assist with other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare patient charts and documentation for upcoming appointments.

• Support overall front-office operations and assist with other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Two (2) years of customer service experience, required.
• Experience in a medical or dental practice, required.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and verifications.
• Ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
