Job summary

Community Health Care, Inc. in Clinton, IA is hiring entry-level Patient Service Professionals to check in patients as they arrive for their appointments, ensuring accurate demographics, privacy, and forms are completed.

This role offers Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, a wage range of $16.50-$23/hr, and benefits such as free prescription medication for employees and family members, PTO, holidays, life and disability insurance, YMCA discounts, and retirement with employer matching after one year.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and data entry skills.
• Experience in a medical/reception office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients in a timely manner while reviewing the chart for accurate demographic, privacy, UDS information and ensures all required forms are completed.
• Requests payment at point of service.
• Prints daily schedules for department and reviews charts for necessary paperwork, Medicaid eligibility, and patient intake needs.
• Makes appointments only when necessary to support nurses and providers.
• Assists patients in completing required forms.
• Answers incoming calls for the department.
• Collects all paperwork from patients and checks for completeness before giving to Medical Records to be scanned.
• Applies payment to the patient accounts according to procedure.
• Performs 'end-of-day' procedures including printing reports and balancing the cash bag. Checks to see that all patients have been cared for and restocks supplies.
