Job summary

CityMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients and deliver exemplary service at the point of care. You will register patients, coordinate appointments, and help with paperwork, while supporting a busy front desk environment.

Responsibilities include patient data entry, insurance verification, cash handling, and responsive communication with patients and staff to ensure smooth, timely visits in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in high-volume/service environments preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse patients.
• Typing speed around 55 wpm and basic computer proficiency.
• Bilingual abilities helpful depending on site location.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients upon arrival.
• Organize patient intake and coordinate appointments.
• Accurately enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with completing paperwork as needed.
• Scan and file medical records; maintain organized documentation.
• Answer calls and respond to patient questions promptly and courteously.
• Process insurance information and verify eligibility; liaise with Billing as needed.
• Handle cash and co-pays accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of wait times and patient inquiries.
