Brooks Rehabilitation seeks a Patient Service Representative to provide premium front-desk service for outpatient visits in Orlando, FL. The role involves direct face-to-face interactions with patients, visitors, therapists and clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has healthcare customer service experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to manage registration, scheduling, and billing coordination in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience preferred, especially in healthcare.
• Medical terminology is a plus and helpful for patient interactions.
• Basic understanding of insurance and authorizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors upon arrival.
• Exhibit strong customer service to patients, coworkers, physicians, and insurers.
• Schedule therapy appointments and handle cancellations/rescheduling.
• Manage clinic waitlist and call patients for confirmations.
• Verify referrals and insurance information; collaborate on urgent verifications.
• Prepare registration packets for initial visits and ensure forms are complete.
• Ensure correct data is uploaded to the system and physician orders are present before scheduling.
• Order supplies and maintain clinic inventory; keep waiting area tidy.
• Provide general office support including filing, copying, and faxing.
• Create new medical record projects in Image Now upon admission.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports as directed by management.
• Serve as clinic liaison with Business Office regarding billing.
