Job summary

Brooks Rehabilitation seeks a Patient Service Representative to greet patients and visitors, schedule therapy appointments, and verify insurance information. The role interacts with patients, therapists, and clinic staff to maintain smooth operations.

Responsibilities include preparing registration packets, coordinating visits, and generating daily reports while maintaining a helpful, empathetic front-line presence in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Medical terminology is a plus.
• Basic understanding of insurance and authorizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including proper telephone etiquette and in-person interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors upon arrival.
• Schedules therapy appointments, including cancellations and/or rescheduling.
• Verifies referrals and/or insurance information; works with CIU for urgent verifications.
• Prepares registration packets for the initial visit and ensures paperwork is uploaded.
• Logs referrals and tracking in the Referral Database; supports clinic operations.
