Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking a capable scheduling coordinator to support patient-centered care. You will handle telephone communications, coordinate patient scheduling, and enter data from procedures under licensed nurse supervision.

In addition to assisting with after-hours Digestive Health scheduling, you will respond to urgent scheduling needs, run reports, and maintain orderly patient records within the EMR system. Strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of health care and/or secretarial experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Medical Terminology strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and handle telephone communications accurately and timely.
• Coordinate scheduling for patients.
• Perform data entry from procedural records accurately and timely.
• Implement changes and revisions on patient orders and requests.
• Organize and prioritize daily work effectively.
