Job summary

UNC Physicians Group Practices II, LLC in Cary, NC is seeking a detail-oriented scheduler/registrar to ensure accurate scheduling of procedures and complete patient registrations. You will collaborate with patients, physicians, and staff to obtain orders, demographics, and documentation.

The role emphasizes customer service, organizational skills, and knowledge of scheduling processes. Onsite, 40 hours weekly, with day shifts and standard full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic arithmetic and handle percentages and ratios.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve problems and apply instructions from written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively to ensure accuracy and completeness of scheduled procedures and gathers necessary demographic and scheduling information.
• Communicates procedure and prep information clearly to patients and physician offices.
• Obtains accurate and valid physician orders for procedures.
• Meets productivity and customer satisfaction goals.
• Distributes updated department schedules with complete and accurate clinical information.
• Maintains current clinical knowledge related to diagnostic procedures and scheduling software.
• Acts as departmental receptionist and office assistant as needed.
• Performs registrations for patients, including contract registration for Managed Care and complete registration for Government Payors.
