Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking a Clinic Patient Registration Specialist in Eagan, MN to greet patients, verify information, register visits and schedule follow-ups. This casual role emphasizes accurate data entry and outstanding customer service in a patient-facing environment.

The position requires a minimum of 2 shifts per month and may float to other Summit locations. Responsibilities include handling co-pays, collecting insurance details, and supporting Revenue Cycle teams for smooth patient

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year customer service experience in a healthcare or medical office setting; must possess basic computer proficiency and speed

Responsibilities

• Register & schedule patients with required medical and demographic information and collect co-pays and payments
• Enter insurance information accurately and follow scheduling protocols for compliant billing
• Coordinate interpreters and QRCs as needed
• Prepare next day patient charts and distribute mail/faxes
• Communicate with teams/providers to ensure a seamless patient experience
• Manage patient pickup items and obtain proper authorization and documentation
• Assist with rescheduling when providers' schedules change
• Maintain a neat, accessible patient lobby
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, teams, providers and staff
