Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth is seeking a Level II Patient Scheduler to pre-register and schedule patients for appointments, procedures, tests, and other services in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. You will answer incoming calls, complete follow-up and referral work queues, and ticket scheduling, while coordinating with patient care teams to ensure efficient, appropriate care for patients.

Level II Patient Schedulers are expected to be proficient in scheduling multiple service lines

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical healthcare experience
• 1 year experience as a Patient Scheduler I
• 1 year experience in a contact/call center

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers and schedules patients for appointments, procedures, tests, and other services in a timely and courteous manner.
• Answers incoming calls, completes follow-up and referral work queues, and ticket scheduling.
• Communicates with patient care teams to ensure efficient care for patients.
• Completes patient checkout, schedules follow-up appointments, and provides patients with cost estimates and itineraries.
