Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a full-time Registration Clerk for the First Shift in Kansas. You will greet patients, register them with complete demographic and insurance information, collect copays, and guide them through check-in and admission processes.

You will also perform related clerical tasks while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health regulations. Ideal candidates have 1 year of customer service experience, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Patient Rights, HIPAA and Medicare Secondary Payer guidelines.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and guests.
• Register patients with demographic, insurance, and visit information.
• Complete check-in and admission functions and verify patient identity.
• Conduct financial discussions, provide patient estimates, and collect payments.
• Collect copays and prior balances as appropriate.
• Assist patients with required documentation and data entry.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and explain handouts as needed.
• Perform clerical duties and respond to department needs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with Stormont Vail policies.
