RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Welcome with a Smile: Be the friendly face and voice that greets our patients and callers—you're the first impression, and you'll make it count! Handle patient reception, face-to-face check-ins, and preregistration with genuine warmth and enthusiasm.
- Insurance Detective: Become our go-to expert for confirming insurance eligibility and verification. You'll navigate insurance systems like a pro and keep everything accurate and up-to-date.
- Registration Rockstar: Master new patient registration, update patient and insurance information, and respond to inquiries from callers and customers with confidence and care.
- Customer Champion: Advocate for our patients and callers, making sure their needs are heard and met. You'll build loyalty by anticipating what people need before they even ask.
- Cash Collection Guru: Handle cash collections smoothly and professionally, keeping everything organized and accounted for.
- Multi-Tasking Maven: Thrive in our fast-paced environment where you'll juggle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions without breaking a sweat. You'll follow standard operating procedures and protocols while keeping things running smoothly.
- Team Player & Mentor: Be willing to share your knowledge and help train others, spreading your registration expertise throughout the team.
All of this happens under general supervision, with you delivering efficient, effective customer relationship management over the phone, in person, and in writing with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting preferred.
- EPIC training/experience preferred. Insurance payor systems experience preferred.
- ICD-10 medical terminology experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person and in writing with patients, visitors and clinical/non-clinical staff.
- Must be willing and able to instruct others. Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
