Henry Ford Health in West Bloomfield, MI is seeking a Patient Registration Coordinator for day shift. You will direct and coordinate patient registration activities, ensure accurate scheduling, verify insurance, and support billing to protect accounts receivable.

You will assist leadership with interviewing, orienting, and training staff, providing constructive coaching to maintain a high-performing team in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility verification.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associates Degree preferred.

Role Overview

As a Patient Registration Coordinator, you will direct and coordinate the activities of all Patient Registration areas, ensuring prompt and accurate patient scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and collections. You will play a key role in protecting the hospitals accounts receivable and upholding patient privacy. Additionally, you will assist leadership in interviewing, orienting, and training employees to maintain a high-performing team.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience in patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree.
• Experience as a Patient Service Representative.
