Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret medical terminology is required.
• One to two years of clerical skills required; hospital/medical experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required; must be proficient with computer systems.
• Typing speed at least 30 WPM; accurate data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Collect data and input into the clinic registration system.
• Obtain signatures on forms and issue notices to patients/families.
• Verify insurance and identify certification requirements as needed.
• Notify supervisors if patient services require authorization not on file.
• Document pertinent events related to account handling and research prior accounts.
• Schedule patient appointments for multiple providers within guidelines.
• Promote team behavior and deliver exceptional patient experiences.
• Uphold patient safety and quality standards.
