Job summary

Cullman Regional is seeking a part-time PRN registration clerk for the Hartselle Emergency Department. You will input data into the registration system, secure signatures, verify insurance, and communicate with patients and families as needed.

Responsibilities include calculating amounts due, documenting events, and supporting a positive patient experience while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of clerical experience; insurance verification and hospital/medical experience preferred.
• Typing speed of 30 WPM or faster.
• Ability to interpret medical terminology and use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect and accurately input into the hospital registration system.
• Obtain signatures on forms and provide notices to patients or family.
• Verify insurance and determine certification requirements; notify supervisors if missing.
• Calculate estimated amount due and initiate payment per scripts.
• Document account handling and research prior accounts.
• Demonstrate teamwork and deliver excellent patient/guest experiences.
• Uphold patient safety and quality.
