Job summary

Tidelands Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative I to register patients and handle first-call resolution for multiple departments. You will collect demographic, financial, and medical information, and route calls or appointments as needed to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, obtaining necessary signatures, scheduling, reminders, and documenting information in the EHR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related customer facing experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred (call center, scheduling).

Responsibilities

• Registers all patients needing services and handles first call resolution.
• Obtains and enters required demographic, financial, and medical information accurately.
• Transfers calls and schedules appointments as needed; verifies insurance when applicable.
• Verifies signatures and provides patient rights, HIPAA notices, and financial assistance information.
• Documents insurance verification and pre-certification information in the EHR.
• Contacts patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and reschedules as needed.
