Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Medical front office program completion or on-the-job training with customer service focus.
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Proficiency with basic office software and EMR systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome patients and visitors to the office.
• Answer and direct multiple phone lines promptly.
• Process payments by credit card or cash and balance cash drawer daily.
• Schedule, reschedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Verify insurances across multiple websites.
• Assist with patient check-out and follow-up paperwork.
• Maintain reception area in a neat condition.
• Coordinate with providers and back-office staff to keep on schedule.
