The role requires accurate data collection, correct insurance coding, and effective communication with patients and staff to ensure smooth throughput.

The ideal candidate will have hospital admitting or medical office experience, CPI certification within 90 days, and strong computer skills to navigate registration tools and electronic systems.

Qualifications

• One-year hospital admitting or medical business office experience.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• CPI certification within the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Register patients with accurate demographic and financial information.
• Correct insurance coding and descriptions using available tools.
• Ensure correct room placement and monitor HDX reports for applicable insurances.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Maintain organized records and ensure notification and authorization tracking.
