Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator at Temecula Valley Hospital to manage patient registration, verify demographics and financial information, and ensure correct insurance details.

The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, strong communication, and the ability to handle sensitive personal and financial discussions; CPI certification within 90 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• One-year experience in a hospital admitting or medical business office, with computer experience preferred
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• CPI Certification within the first 90 days

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect accurate demographic and financial information
• Correct insurance coding and descriptions using Rolodex in SMS and matrices for contracted groups
• Complete status transfers and ensure correct room placement for patients
• Run and accept HDX reports on all applicable insurances
• Obtain notifications, authorizations, verification of benefits and tracking numbers for accounts/insurances
