Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service skills (telephone, in-person, and written communication)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and clinical/non-clinical staff
• Preferred: One year of experience in patient registration, admitting, or insurance eligibility verification in a hospital or medical office setting
• EPIC system training or experience
• Insurance payor systems experience
• ICD-10 medical terminology knowledge
• Experience instructing or training others

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility; update registration information and collect payments as needed.
• Answer inquiries from callers/customers and act as a welcoming front door for all visitors.
• Advocate for callers/customers to ensure their needs are met and maintain efficient customer relationship management.
