Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Clinic Service Representative to join our Corporate Business Office. You will be the first point of contact, guiding patients through check-in, preregistration, and financial discussions to support seamless care journeys.

You will collaborate with clinic staff to verify insurance, collect payments, and reconcile patient charts, helping ensure accurate registration and a positive patient experience across our health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform calculations and complete forms.
• Proficiency in using computer information systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team setting.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating software and email.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage face-to-face check-in and check-out processes.
• Handle preregistration, insurance verification, and cash collections.
• Reconcile patient charts and assist with patient discharge procedures.
• Discuss general financial responsibilities with patients and connect them to the Customer Service Center.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate patient registration.
