Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Patient Registrar I-AC Clerical Float Pool to coordinate encounters by registering patients, collecting data, and ensuring accurate insurance and billing information at the point of service.

The role requires EPIC competency, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle complex financial transactions including co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay, while maintaining courteous communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent; at least 9 months of office/healthcare/customer service experience.
• Must pass EPIC competency for Registration after Epic Clerical Training.
• Must pass annual competency exam for all areas of responsibility.
• Attend Quarterly MSO meetings and Staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-the-m moment complaints using key words and empathy.
• Manage conflicts and involve a supervisor when needed.
• Monitor lobby areas to ensure cleanliness and comfort for patients.
• Register patients with accurate data collection including demographics and insurance details.
• Explain documents requiring signatures and guide patients on e-signature and printed copies.
