Job summary

MRO Corporation is seeking an ROI Specialist to support client sites with Release of Information requests. You will determine records to release, verify patient data, and log activity in ROI On-Line databases.

This role requires attention to HIPAA guidelines and strong data entry skills. Responsibilities include answering inquiries, processing walk-in requests, and coordinating with physician offices as needed while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance at all times.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year data entry experience required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations preferred.
• ROI in physician HIM dept is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Strong verbal communication skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Determines which records to release by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA guidelines and obtaining patient data from sources.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Respond to walk-in customers requesting medical records and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process requests from physician offices on a priority basis and fax information to the physician office.
• Log medical record requests into ROI On-Line database and scan records.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
