Job summary

MRO is seeking an ROI Specialist to provide on-site support at a client site for the release of information requests. You will determine which records to release by reviewing requester information and HIPAA guidelines and gather patient data from multiple sources.

You will answer ROI-related phone calls, assist walk-in customers, log and scan requests into the ROI On-Line system, and process physician-office requests as needed while ensuring compliance with site policies.

Qualifications

• One or more years of data entry experience; proficient with computer applications.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail in a HIPAA-compliant environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review requests to determine records for release under HIPAA.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line.
• Process physician office requests and fax information as needed.
• Log and scan medical records into ROI On-Line.
• Follow site policies and regulations; handle cash payments where required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
