Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Patient Registration to manage the onboarding transition for new patients and referral partners.

You will coordinate with Sales, Nursing, Pharmacy and Operations to ensure smooth discharge, delivery and enrollment into home/AIS services. The role requires strong multi-tasking, attention to detail and customer service, with a focus on preventing gaps in documentation and billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience required.
• Healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
• Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
• Secures patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patient to financial assistance program).
• Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing).
• Assist Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
