Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Specialist, Patient Registration to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new patients and referrals, coordinating with Sales to prepare patients for services and facilitate their transition to home/AIS.

The role emphasizes multitasking, strong customer service, and collaboration with nursing, pharmacy, and operations to secure deliveries and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience required.
• Ability to multitask and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.
• High degree of customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
• Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
• Secures patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patient to financial assistance program).
• Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing).
• Assist Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
