Patient Care America in Pompano Beach, FL, seeks an Intake Coordinator I to manage referrals and onboard patients efficiently. You will enter demographics and intake data, verify service capabilities, and communicate with referral partners in a timely, professional manner.

You will serve as a liaison between referral sources, the care team, and sales, handle inbound calls, route documents, and assist with prior authorizations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; coursework in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient demographics, insurance information, and referral details accurately.
• Answer, screen, and route inbound calls professionally and efficiently.
• Monitor fax queue and assign incoming documentation to the proper department.
• Prepare written responses and maintain timely communication with stakeholders.
• Perform general administrative duties and document management tasks.
• Escalate high-priority authorizations to clinical or supervisory staff.
