Job summary

Option Care Health seeks an intake coordinator to streamline patient referrals and ensure timely infusion services. You will collect demographics, insurance data, and clinical information, verify coverage, and manage records to support efficient care coordination across the network.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining patient confidentiality. On-site work in the healthcare intake team is expected.

Responsibilities

• Gather information for patient intake: demographics, insurance, clinical, lab data.
• Input accurate information and update patient records.
• Review faxed documents and attach to patient profiles.
• Contact patients or providers to obtain missing information.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits for medications and services.
• Submit and track prior authorization requests.
• Schedule services aligning with orders and care plans.
• Maintain and update patient records and communications.
• Assist with enrollment in programs to reduce out-of-pocket costs.
• Collect payments (co-pays, self-pay).
• Answer patient questions and triage calls.
