Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver, CO is seeking a leadership-focused Patient Services Manager for the Culinary Services department at Saint Joseph Hospital. You will oversee daily operations, implement best practices, and ensure high-quality patient meals and service at the right cost.

Partner with nursing, train staff in therapeutic diets, supervise hiring and training, enforce food safety, and monitor patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management; RD within 6 months of hire.
• ServSafe certification obtained within 90 days if not current.
• Experience leading diverse teams; strong verbal and written communication.
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to educate and ensure guidelines.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Coordinates with frontline caregivers to follow provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices and delivers care cost-effectively.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-functioning teams.
• Manages HR functions including hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, discipline, termination.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores; collaborates on improvement plans.
• Communicates nutrition expertise to healthcare providers.
• Works with clinical team on patient diet orders.
