Job summary

Intermountain Health's Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver seeks a leader for Patient Services within Culinary Services. You will oversee daily patient meal operations, partner with nursing to align with therapeutic diets, and train caregivers to follow orders and safety protocols.

As Registered Dietitian, you will implement clinical best practices, ensure regulatory compliance, monitor quality and satisfaction scores, and lead teams in an accountable, cost-aware environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work (Utah/Idaho only).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to meet patients’ needs and education.
• Leads patient meal areas and ensures diets follow provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care and service at appropriate cost.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-performing teams.
• Manages HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, discipline, and termination.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory guidelines are met.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores and plans improvements.
• Communicates nutrition expertise to healthcare providers.
• Collaborates with clinical team on patient diet orders.
