Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a leader to manage patient meal services at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO. The role oversees daily operations, ensures therapeutic diets are followed, and partners with nursing to meet patient needs while delivering cost-effective, high-quality nutrition care.

The position requires a Registered Dietitian, strong food safety expertise, and experience guiding diverse hospital teams within a patient-focused food service environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (in Utah/Idaho states).

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Ensures all diets are followed per provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care at appropriate cost.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-functioning teams.
• Manages HR functions: hiring, training, evaluating, discipline, and termination.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with clinical team on patient diet orders.
