Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics in Deltona, FL, is seeking a Patient Navigator (Patient Support & Phlebotomy) to guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing with compassionate, education-focused care. You will perform phlebotomy, coordinate appointments, and serve as a key contact across partner sites to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The role requires active patient education, strong venipuncture skills, and experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• 2+ years clinical experience in front- or back-office settings.
• 2+ years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing from start to finish.
• Provide patient education about testing, procedures, and next steps.
• Serve as primary contact to ensure supportive patient experiences.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
• Coordinate scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow with partner sites.
