HALO Diagnostics seeks a Patient Navigator (Patient Support & Phlebotomy) to guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing, provide education, coordinate care, and collect specimens. You will serve as a primary contact, ensuring a compassionate, efficient patient experience across multiple sites.

The role requires national phlebotomy certification, BLS, and 2+ years in clinical settings with insurance verification.

Qualifications

• National phlebotomy certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (front or back office).
• Minimum of 2 years of insurance verification and prior authorizations experience.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing from start to finish.
• Provide education on testing procedures and next steps.
• Serve as primary patient contact to ensure a supportive experience.
• Conduct structured patient consultations for clarity and consistency.
• Build relationships with partner sites and clinical teams.
• Coordinate scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow across locations.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens for testing.
• Maintain proper documentation in EMR/EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Support insurance verification and authorization processes as needed.
• Respond to patient questions regarding testing and next steps.
