Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Greets patients and visitors, answers and routes calls to staff.
• Maintains patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and reminders.
• Obtains and verifies patient insurance information and pre-authorizations.
• Collects and enters patient charges in databases.
• Verifies and reconciles charges and transmits data to providers.
• Assembles/charts, maintains files, and ensures data completeness.
• Coordinates/schedules ancillary testing with other departments.
• Arranges for patient transportation as needed.
• Maintains office and medical supplies as directed.
