Job summary

Healogics, the leading provider of advanced wound care in the United States, seeks a Patient Navigator to support the smooth operation of an outpatient wound care center. You will manage front office duties, assist staff, and help ensure excellent patient experiences.

The role requires coordinating scheduling, insurance verification, data entry, chart management, and coordinating testing and transportation while maintaining supplies and confidentiality in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Attend staff meetings to support center functions.
• Greet patients and visitors, answer and route calls.
• Maintain patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and reminders.
• Obtain and verify patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations, and enter data in databases.
• Collect and enter patient charges in databases; verify and reconcile charges.
• Prepare monthly patient survey data and transmit to providers.
• Assemble and file patient charts; ensure data completeness and signatures.
• Coordinate/schedule ancillary testing with other hospital departments.
• Arrange patient transportation as needed.
• Maintain office equipment and medical supplies.
• Perform other duties as required.
