Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Dietary Worker to support patients with meals and navigate patient menus using hospital software. You will liaise with nurses and dietitians, ensuring accuracy and safety in meal prep and service while maintaining confidentiality and sanitation standards.

The role emphasizes adaptability to facility needs, strong customer service, and proficiency with web-based tools and communication devices. Prior experience in food service or healthcare support is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred.
• Experience in food service, as a dietary clerk, or in a related field preferred.
• Needs to communicate fluently in English; bilingual or multilingual a plus.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Comfort with using technology including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset; typical typing 35-45 wpm.
• Must be flexible and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Maintains friendly, efficient customer service toward AIC, clients, and co-workers.
• Adaptable to AIC and facility needs.
• Reviewing patient menus, tallying menu items for kitchen, and conducting AIC tray line to ensure safety and accuracy of patient meals.
• Maintain knowledge of modified textures following IDDSI standards and allergies to ensure meals are prepared and served safely.
• Work closely with registered dietitians, nurses, and Food Services to ensure accurate patient nutrition.
• Log food temperatures, complete test trays, and other regulatory functions required by Aramark.
• Assist kitchen staff as necessary to meet AIC needs.
• Maintain privacy, safety, and dignity of patients by observing confidentiality and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to Aramark's standards of operation and Business Conduct Policy; maintain records for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.
