Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care nutrition services. You will deliver patient trays and nourishments, verify diet orders, and communicate patient preferences to the Food and Nutrition Services team.

The role requires adherence to sanitation standards and collaboration with nursing staff to meet patients' nutrition needs. This position involves standing and occasional lifting, with duties that may evolve to meet patient and department

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service and delivers nourishments and snacks as ordered.
• Visits patients to introduce services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Obtains patient food preferences or dislikes from patients or family members.
• Communicates patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures nutrition diet orders are provided by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and completes sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance when needed.
• Assists clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition care needs.
